So Small, So Fragile
Composed by Alice Ross.
So Small, So Fragile
I get popped into the ground,
I am so small, so fragile.
I get covered up, left alone
Not a light or sound to hear or see.
Cold running liquid drizzles over me
I shiver in my shell
I feel so secure, so small, so fragile
I feel a warmth come over me
Now I start to whimper
What is going on for I do not know?
Some day I hope I will know
But for know is a game of patience
I feel I want to stretch, reach to the sky But I only feel so small, so fragile.
I feel like I am growing
For my time has come
I come close to the top of the mass of damp earth I feel a beam of light shine over me I try to hide in my shell but it is nowhere to been seen I feel so small, so fragile.
I look down to see the damp earth below me Then I spot something strange I am tall! It can’t be me surely For I am so small, so fragile
I soon start to realise
The beautiful colours that form around my body So beautiful, so bright But could it be me, surely?
For I am so small, so fragile
